Safeguarding in Valle Crucis Mission Area

This year the theme of the campaign is ‘Action Speaks Louder’ – encouraging churches to not just talk about safeguarding but to take positive action towards creating safer places.

We are all encouraged to not just reflect, but also act, on improving safeguarding practices, and learning from where things could have been done better. We should also build on the ways we are supporting those who are vulnerable or who have been hurt, and highlight all the good work being done behind the scenes to protect vulnerable people.

To take part in the campaign you can register for a free online guide and resources which makes running a whole service, or part of a service, easy. It includes prayers, sermon notes, activity ideas, children’s resources and loads more.

Safeguarding training dates

Thank you for your ongoing work and for your support in promoting safeguarding in your churches.

As the start of the new autumn term approaches, the Diocese has released the next set of training dates which can be found online:  Safeguarding Training - The Church in Wales. 

Please note, Wednesday 15 October is at Eglwys Crist. There are also a number of dates and times available to attend online.
